A day at the lake and lots of soccer.
The title pretty much sums up my weekend. Friday I don't remember what I did. I think it involved a movie with Julie and Jenkins but they might have been sat night We went and saw Accepted which was a lot better then I though it would be. There were all of the funny parts that were on the commercial and get this....Other funny parts as well. That doesn't happen a lot with comedies these days. I would say its a great renter.
Sat. morning I turned in all of the house stuff, hopefully I hear something latter today regarding the house we should get, and then went off to my last outdoor game of the summer season. We only had 6 players show up for 8 on 8. The other team graciously gave us one of their players to make the game more fair. We ended up killing them 6-3. Thanks other team for the extra player though. I didn't play very well. I was in a funk where every shot I took went straight to the keeper. They were nice shots but nothing hard for the keeper. The only goal I scored was one where the keep couldn't control the ball and it hit off of him and went in.
Gibbs had two goals, one was a header to the lower post that was just awesome, the other a break away. Jenkins had a upper ninety from well outside the box that was pretty impressive. It was also at the end of the game and pretty much kill their momentum.
After the game me and Gibbs watched soccer all day long. Tottenham lost 2-0 and that was pretty disappointing. We only got to see the last 10 mins of the game and they didn't look to be playing very well. Its tough playing in Reebok stadium and going down 2-0 in the first 14 mins of the match. It was an uphill battle the whole game and bolton just stood tight. I didn't watch it but I bet the rest of the game was very boring.
One match that was not boring was Reading. They were down 0-2 and came back and won 3-2. I was very impressed with Sole who played an outside right mid. He controlled the game and created 2 of the goals. Tottenham is my team but I will be watching as much Reading as I can.
Sat night I drove Jenkins and Kyle up to Kats lakehouse. Relaxing is the best way to describe it. We talked, watched TV, Steph made some of her famous hot sauce (its sooo good), we made up rules to drinking while you are playing UNO. Which by the way is my new favorite drinking game. I love UNO!! We def did not accomplish any of the goals though that you set in a drinking game. We drank all of the beer and no one was drunk.lol..it was good times.
After that we just chilled and I crashed on the couch which is oh so soft and comfy. We I woke at 11 the next morning I was well rested and feeling good. We had a breakfast that awsome salsa I mentioned earlier made by steph and then I had some cinnamon and sugar on my waffles and that was good too :). We did a lot of reading as well while we were there which I thought was pretty cool. 7 of us just sat in different corners with our books and went to town. I read a good 100 pages through out the day and I am almost finished with Peace Like a River. Kat drove us out on the lake and we swam with the fishs. It was at least 10000000 degrees and the 8 spf really helped let me tell ya. 8 spf <---- are you kidding me? Next time ill just bring out the butter and get cooked nice and good.
Overall it was an awesome weekend and i had a great time.
