Our Magical Forest is gone...so is our cable

The last Four months have been great living at The Hacienda (thats what we call our house) mainly for one good reason. We havent had to mow. I really hate mowing. Its so hot outside and if I am going to be working I would rather be doing anything besides mowing. We put it off for a good 4 months and the weeds were up to my waist and the city apparently doesnt like. They were kind enough to send over someone to ask us to cut it. This Sunday Jenkins set out to do just that. We dont own a mower so we walk a block or two and borrow one.

I opted to clean the house and do the dishes so I didnt have to walk outside. Jenkins agreed this was a good plan and I was pretty exited about not having to mow. I understand vacuuming is alot like mowing but its inside. So I clean up and start watching the new Bond movie (which I didnt like), when Jenkins walks in and asks if we still have cable. I pause my movie and check...nope. I got nothing. I look over and he is holding a big chunk of cable and does not look happy. I immediately burst into laughter. Apparently there is a small section in the yard where the cable comes above ground and he happened to mow over it. Sure, there is no reason why he would have known it was there and why in the world does our cable go way across the lawn in the first place?!?

There are alot of weird things going on with our cable. When we first had it up we found out that the people who lived there before us were stealing cable from our neighbors. I am not sure the guy fixed our cable when he set us up because the cable that Jenkins cuts goes straight from the outer wall directly to our neighbors house which isnt even close to the direction of our box. So, should we have to pay for the fix? The whole thing is a little fishy if you ask me.
