First weekend with my computer

I went out Sat night to the Jeffersons indoor game to take pics and it turns out you actually have to know how to take pictures with this camera for the pics to be in focus. Silly me thinking I could just point and click. It didnt turn out that way. People move to fast in soccer and the lighting is too low, plus you add the net that surrounds the field and apparently you have a difficult job of taking a nice action photo. The whole situation because very apparent within the first 10 mins of me taking pics and then looking at them and every one is out of focus and really blurry.

You know how cool I looked holding a thousand dollar camera taking pictures? Very cool, until someone asks to look at one. Then I got nothing. It was pretty funny. I had a very confused look on my face and everyone wanted to know after the game how they came out and if I got this cool move or that goal. I just told them I am a rookie and couldnt get it in focus but NEXT TIME!

Almost as if my uncle had heard about my fun photo evening he called me early the next day to see what I was up to. We ended up make a quick trip to the rock and he gave me a run through on how to use the camera and what everything does. I could spend 10 days learning about all of the cool things my camera could do but the 2 hour lesson helped out alot and I should be able to take decent soccer pics now.

Here are a few pics from the weekend. Pretty boring stuff...nothing special. I included some of the out of focus ones just for fun.

The Round Rock.

These are the Swallows that live by our front door.

Someone scored right here.....I think.
