Back to the old drawing board (this post is long)

I took a good hiatus while things were busy here at work. Its been a crazy 4 months and I am glad they are behind me. Now I just get to coast till the end of the year. I am not saying I wont be busy its just a much more of a manageable amount of work.

Well getting away from work. Halloween was a blast. We threw a party and everything was going great until beer pong was started. At that point things (people is probably a better word) got sloppy. I think I almost won on three different occasions. I know...I drank for two because Lindsey wanted to drive home. Rule number 1 when playing beer pong...find a partner who will actually drink their share of the beer. Otherwise you might as well just start chugging. Needless to say I had fun, not because I got trashed , that part sucked. It was the friends and fellowship that made it a fun night. And Julies outfit was a plus.

Things I have been reading or listening to:

John Sanford - Books

He is a Murder Mystery writer and his books on CD are great. I So far I have listened to 4 of his books and have enjoyed all of them. ts a good change of pace to watching TV. Go home plug in my computer start my headset and play wow while I listen, next thing you know 5 hours has gone by. My mom got me 3 more for my birthday so i have plenty to listen to.

CS Lewis - I will probably for the rest of my life always be reading one of his books. He is amazing. Right now I am rereading "The Great Divorce". I love the stories and finding myself in the characters. I find a little of myself in each character. I just want to know what the significance of the unicorns is because I have no clue.

George RR Martin - I am listening to an old classic, "A song of ice and fire" series. The first book is 33 hours. I read the book last time. Its fun to listen as a professional reads the book to me because I have come to realize i was pronouncing every ones name wrong. I get to a character that I loved and do a big "Ohhhhh! thats how you say that name!"

Birthday gifts:

I got myself all 10 seasons of Stargate SG-1. Was I a fan before? Nope. Then why would I spend 270 bucks on a series I had never watched? Because, well I dont have a good answer for that. My brother said it was good and I really wanted to buy myself something so I did. It was an impulse buy. So far I through with season one and halfway into season two and its really good.

I also got myself a subscription to Audible.com so I would have plenty of books to listen to. Its a great site.

I should be back to my normal twice a week updating. I dont expect anyone will really read this but if you happen to have made it to the end you should leave me some love in the form of a comment.
