First weekend with my computer

I went out Sat night to the Jeffersons indoor game to take pics and it turns out you actually have to know how to take pictures with this camera for the pics to be in focus. Silly me thinking I could just point and click. It didnt turn out that way. People move to fast in soccer and the lighting is too low, plus you add the net that surrounds the field and apparently you have a difficult job of taking a nice action photo. The whole situation because very apparent within the first 10 mins of me taking pics and then looking at them and every one is out of focus and really blurry.

You know how cool I looked holding a thousand dollar camera taking pictures? Very cool, until someone asks to look at one. Then I got nothing. It was pretty funny. I had a very confused look on my face and everyone wanted to know after the game how they came out and if I got this cool move or that goal. I just told them I am a rookie and couldnt get it in focus but NEXT TIME!

Almost as if my uncle had heard about my fun photo evening he called me early the next day to see what I was up to. We ended up make a quick trip to the rock and he gave me a run through on how to use the camera and what everything does. I could spend 10 days learning about all of the cool things my camera could do but the 2 hour lesson helped out alot and I should be able to take decent soccer pics now.

Here are a few pics from the weekend. Pretty boring stuff...nothing special. I included some of the out of focus ones just for fun.

Planet Earth

Is anyone else addicted to this show? I can't get enough all I did yesterday was sit and watch it. Well that and get a bit of reading in but I seriously sat and watched it for a good 6 hours.

I hear it is even better in HD but I dont have access to an HD tv that isnt running sports 24\7. Watching it really makes me want to find a red panda and adopt him. I want a PANDA!!!

The Bartimaeus Trilogy

I recently borrowed a book from a coworker who was in the middle of the series. Its kind of like Harry Potter but darker. Instead of fun wands, a school full of kids and a really cool game you play while flying on a broom there is only one kid and his demon. Nicodemus is give away by his birth parents to the magicians so that he might grow up to be a magician and they could get money. Nicodemus, is a smart kid who excels in his studies and wants to push his boundaries of course he gets himself into all kinds of trouble and thats where the fun of the book is. Plus the demon, Bartimaeus is very witty and sarcastic and always seems to get the better of his enemies. Its a very easy read and I really enjoyed the story. I am just starting the second book.

Apple Sauce and Yogurt

While I was testing out all the things I was going to eat I ran across a few old favorites. Apple sauce, when was the last time you ate some? For me I would say the 3rd grade right before my mom stopped making my lunch. Its good stuff. Its way better than a whole apple. I dont see why I would ever buy and apple again when I can eat two apples in the form of apple sauce in the time it take me to eat one regular apple. Plus no seeds and no little sticker that is fused onto the apple.

Also, I would like to say that yogurt is good and someone needs to make the single serving containers much bigger. Is that someone idea of a joke that I can finish one in three scoops? Seriously, I like to eat yogurt by the pint!

Whoever made microwavable mac and cheese is my hero. Mac and Cheese is two minutes, now thats instant gratification.

Stocking up!

I need a little help. I need to get food that I will be able to eat after I get my wisdom teeth removed. I know some of you have been through this already and was just wondering what yall ate. Am I limited to soup? or will I be in so much pain I wont want to eat?

Also is there anything that I should def not do or eat. I havent gone through the whole rundown of dos and donts from the dentist yet. I already know from Tads experience to straws away from staws...that kid was in pain, but hot and sour soup helps!

Anyways give me some advice.

thanks!

The tea stains are gone.....and next Friday so will my wisdom teeth!

I had my second cleaning today. The lady there really likes me. I am not sure if she wanted me to take her out or adopt me. I think she gave me and extra step or two in the polishing and whitening of my teeth. We had a good time though which is weird because it was a visit to the dentists office and most people dont assosiate laughing for an hour and fun conversation and getting your teeth cleaned. It happend though. Let me tell you, my teeth are very white. I am sure no one would notice if you just met me but anyone who saw me three weeks ago and then today would be amazed.

I didnt even go to the doctors to get my teeth looking all nice and sparkly. That was on my list of things to do this year but before that I wanted to get my wisdom teeth removed. They bother me and every so often I have a night where they move in my sleep and for the next few days I cant close my mouth. It was just past time to get them out. So next Friday is the big day. I have heard all kinds of fun stories about the meds they are putting me on. Apparently I wont remember anything that happends during that day and most of the next day so dont call me! I wont remember!

Its not that I am going to quit dating...it just that I wont write about them

TheJamesProject is officially dead. It was a great idea (or so they thought) we just ran into a few minor bumps like no one wanted to go out with me or write me back period. When the entire point of your blog rests on going on dates and you cant even get someone to write you back just to talk...your blog becomes pretty boring. So, instead of trying something else or going to extreme measures and seeing who else my mom could hook me up with we decided to call it quits and chalk this one up to a "nice try but it just didnt work out".

It was awkward and relatively fun while it lasted.

Finally its paid off! ...now I can get rid of it.

I finally finished paying off my laptop. The only problem is I dont use it anymore. Its not a very practical machine. Its too nice for its own good and you cant really carry it everywhere very conveniently. Without it being plugged into a wall the batter only lasts 3 hours at most. If you are using it alot then it goes down to about 2 hours. I dont know about you but I would like to have a laptop that lasts about 8 hours and most of the newer ones are around that length.

Now that I have talked it down you may be wondering why I would ever buy it in the first place! Because its a beast. It has a great processor and a very good video card for a laptop. I bought it so I could play my games and be able to easily pick it up and take it to work with me or to Bs. Now, I dont use it because I stopped playing.

I would like to sell it. If any one is looking for a nice laptop and you need it to have a nice graphics card, then I have got a deal for you.

Our Magical Forest is gone...so is our cable

The last Four months have been great living at The Hacienda (thats what we call our house) mainly for one good reason. We havent had to mow. I really hate mowing. Its so hot outside and if I am going to be working I would rather be doing anything besides mowing. We put it off for a good 4 months and the weeds were up to my waist and the city apparently doesnt like. They were kind enough to send over someone to ask us to cut it. This Sunday Jenkins set out to do just that. We dont own a mower so we walk a block or two and borrow one.

I opted to clean the house and do the dishes so I didnt have to walk outside. Jenkins agreed this was a good plan and I was pretty exited about not having to mow. I understand vacuuming is alot like mowing but its inside. So I clean up and start watching the new Bond movie (which I didnt like), when Jenkins walks in and asks if we still have cable. I pause my movie and check...nope. I got nothing. I look over and he is holding a big chunk of cable and does not look happy. I immediately burst into laughter. Apparently there is a small section in the yard where the cable comes above ground and he happened to mow over it. Sure, there is no reason why he would have known it was there and why in the world does our cable go way across the lawn in the first place?!?

There are alot of weird things going on with our cable. When we first had it up we found out that the people who lived there before us were stealing cable from our neighbors. I am not sure the guy fixed our cable when he set us up because the cable that Jenkins cuts goes straight from the outer wall directly to our neighbors house which isnt even close to the direction of our box. So, should we have to pay for the fix? The whole thing is a little fishy if you ask me.
