I dont get it.

Can we get an MTV3? Apparently MTV doesnt play music on any of their channels anymore. I thought that was the point for making a second one. I guess not...now we get to watch real world 24 hours a day....boooooo I say.

Has everyone seen the commercial where Quiznos bashes Subway for their crappy cheese steak? It pretty funny. Who goes to Subway for a cheese steak? Have you seen what they do with the meat? It goes right into a microwave..HMMMMM that screams authentic cheese steak to me. Why didnt they put that in there commercial?

Words just don't mean what they used to.

I noticed today that I say the word sorry way to much. If anything goes wrong or they stutter I tend to throw in a "Im sorry". I don't know why I do this because I am not sorry. I mean I am but there needs to be a better word for it. I try to get every job I do perfect but the truth is some people change their minds too much or have no clue what they even want. They like the shirt but now that they see it they would have changed this or that. Im sorry. I ordered a small but what I really need now is a medium. Im sorry. Can you print me up 1 more shirt we had a late person turn in there form. Im sorry.

I just feel that the word sorry means more then what I am using it for. They think I am upset and in a way I am. Its like the word thank you. If someone saves your life a simple thank you doesn't seem enough so you would go out and give them a give to show how thankful you are. What about being sorry? Do you get someone a gift for that? That would seem a bit inappropriate.

I am just tired of telling people things and them not listening and then apologizing for their mistakes. Should I yell at them? I need a word that says "I am sorry but you should have listen to what I say".

Busy at work makes blogs boring

The last three weeks have been pretty rough. I have a gut feeling that things will slow down for me this week. I dont want to have another week of staying here till 7 three days in a row doing heat press. When work gets crazy like that I dont have extra time to write and if i get lucky and do get time to write all i can think about is work and what needs to get done. It makes for boring reading. Latley thats all i have had on the brain though.

I started up a new series of books. Something new a new genre. Instead of High fantacy which has to do with knights and kings and all of that cool stuff I picked up a Science fiction Gothic fantacy which i have never really been interested in but this book is kind of good. It started off interesting but then became a love story that i had no interest in but that only lasted 100 pages and not its to the good stuff of world domination. The series is call Wrathuthu. Its about the end of times (for mankind) and a new race is walking the earth. The new race is trying to rule the world and all that good stuff.

I went to the new mall this weekend since it was a beautiful weekend. Normally that wouldnt be a reason to go to the mall but the new one is an outdoor mall. We did some shirts for annie anns pretzles and the guy gave me a bunch of free pretzle coupons so i also went to take advantage of that. Let me tell you, getting a free pretzle makes a trip to the mall worth it. Stores that i would like to make a special mention about. I forgot the name already but there is a Board Games store that i spent a good hour in. I could have gone crazy in that store they had everything! Also the Kitchen store, there were two and both are awesome. One had all the gadgets you see on the infomercials and I bought some spatulas. What i didnt realize is that my spatulas i bought are midget sized ones. My ladle looks like a spoon! Its very funny i didnt realize i was buying minature kitchen utensils at the time but I am sure it will make for some great comedy in the future.

Last night Emerald had a show on frying. This was perfect because me and jenkins have been wanting to fry but had a few questions before me burned our new house down. I got some great recipes and cool ideas, who wants a fried oreo? I think we will save that for this friday or maybe wed.

Today is my moms birthday and i still havnt gotten her a present. I dont feel bad about this because she hasnt told me what she want even though i have asked 100 times. I hate getting crappy gifts, usually i give the best gifts and i love the feeling of giving someone exactly what they wanted. Parents are tough though because they put on the super fake thank you face. I hate that face. Later in the week my mom invited me to her Southern Comfort or something like that party. Its like a Pamperd Chef party but with stuff for all of the house. At least thats what i was told..I just plan to buy my mom something that she wants from there.

Sorry the spell checker isnt working and i dont care enough to copy and paste into word.

Weekend Blues

We need a name for our house. It gets confusing when talking to people about whose house we are talking about now because all three of us have moved at least 2 or 3 times each in the last year. Plus its just cool to have a name. Shannons place was The Big Red and Ken, Andrews and Nicks place was The Meatlocker. I personally don't want a name I like that but it was convenient to just say "Where are we watching the game?" someone would reply "The Meatlocker" and no further information would be needed.

This weekend was a very dull one, not really a bad weekend just nothing exiting. It was our first weekend in the house. I ended up wasting away my sat watching Soccer and football games all afternoon. Pluckers is always a must when watching football and me and kevin enjoyed some Spicy Ranch wings while we watched UT destroy Rice. What a boring game. I ended up paying more attention to the OU game, who got hosed big time. We lost our indoor game and I was pretty frustrated because I had at least 2 easy goals that I missed but I did put 1 away and had an assist.

After the game a few people came over and we played bones and pool till about 4:30. I was a little rusty on the table starting out but over the last week or so the rust is gone and I am back to my hustling ways.

Sunday I slept in. I was trying to sleep till 2pm in the afternoon but I cant do it anymore. I woke up twice in the morning and rolled back over to get more sleep and I though I had surely slept till 2 so I got out of bed and looked at the clock and it was 11:30. There was no way I could get anymore sleep either. I didn't understand it seeing as thats only 6 hours of sleep and I was wide awake. I never get that kind of fortune when its a week day. So I got up and made me and kevin some sausage wraps that were very tasty. Then we were off to play some outdoor. Everything was going great till I took a shot and kicked the ball too hard with the tip of my foot. Its hard to describe but ill try. Point your toe and then run and kick a ball with the very tip of your toe. Thats what I did. I didn't hear a pop or anything so I don't think I did anything major but my knee is def. screwed up. I have an appointment on thursday. I guess I write more when I find out more.

That was my weekend. It ended on a good note though. Brandons mom made us a cheese cake and that was delish. And there was a thunderstorm last night and I love to read and then fall asleep during one.

They call me the cricket killer

Well not really but that's what I do at work while I am running from the back to the front. In the last two weeks we have been infested with crickets, the little black guys who are good for nothing but making noise and driving people crazy. When I walk I randomly kick things to see if one will jump out is hiding behind a box or the copy machine. When I am victorious and find one I end it with a decisive stomp with a smile. Nothing drives me more insane at work then a cricket chirping somewhere in the building.

It was especially fun yesterday when I got to be Elmer Fudd with zimmer (my nephew) and it was cricket season. We would tiptoe oh so quietly to a box and he would sneak up behind it and start kicking till it hopped out and then he would run away when he saw it because it was HUGE!!!! so I being the fearless uncle that I am would setup and step on the bug.

In recent Rocksports news...I think I broke all records for having the most jobs on the schedule for one week. Next week I have 43 jobs on the schedule to be printed. I am very proud of myself and although no one will really know the great accomplishment that it is I felt I would post about it.

The house is finally complete, well for stage one anyways. Everything that I can afford to put in the house is in the house. A few things that I will be buying in the near future whenever I can afford it is.

A bar with stools, Its a high table that would be the first real furniture that I will have ever bought but it would go perfectly in our kitchen and would be great to eat dinner on and watch tv.

The foosball table, its going to happen its just a matter of time. There is a perfect amount of space next to the pool table.

Posters, or paintings. I am thinking that movie posters would look better for our place then paintings. Its a game house and should be fun.

The last kiss comes out today, I want to go see it..Who's with me?

Not a whole lot going on.

The last week and a half of work have been by far the busiest I have ever been at the shop. Its been crazy. The only reason why this is a good thing is because it makes time go faster. A lot of people when I tell them work is busy they say something like, "Its good for business" sooo what do I care? I am going to make the same amount of money whether I work all day or sit at my computer all day and type out blogs. Sure, I would rather time fly being busy but it really doesn't make a difference. So if I talk to you in the next week and I say that I am busy please don't tell me that its good for business...I might hit you.

I am still moving. I hate moving. There is always more stuff. I went over to Brads house last night and we sooo jealous because he had crap laying all over his house. Just random stuff that you have no clue how you acquired. I want that. Right now our house is empty and its just sad. It will take me the entire year to accumulate all the crap I want to fill my house and then ill have to move out of it. Soo if you read this an have any art skills and want to make me something for my wall in my room I would be very appreciative.

The pool table get delivered tomorrow. I thought about moving it but the guys who set it up and level it and all of that good stuff only charge 100 more bucks to move it so I figured that it would be worth it.

This looks even better

what do you think? Its much nicer then the cheap thing at HEB :)

Taking time to breath...

Today was probably the busiest day ever at work. Actually this week has just been customer after customer, on the phone, in the store, and email after email. This is the first time all day I took a little time away from all the orders. Although its been a little overwhelming I am really enjoying it. The days just seem to fly by when you are busy. The only problem is when Friday rolls around and I have to work late to get everything done.

Good new, we have water in our house, tomorrow, electricity! I think after work tonight I am going to take over my first load of stuff. My Double papasan (the greatest reading chair in all the world), my lazyboy (the second greatest reading chair, and my books! If I have time I am going to pick up a futon that they are selling at HEB for 200 bucks. Everyone has been urging me to get a bed but I don't see the point. Why do I need a big bed? Its so impractical..I don't have a big room and I would like to fill the extra space with nothing so I can move around when I want to. Plus a futon doubles as a couch! It folds into a queen so I still have the extra bed when I need it..but I cant think of any reasons why I would need it so it will more then likely stay as a sofa.

We should be throwing our moving in party some time in the next month. Its going to be good times. We will have a HUGE bowl of Gellato (half vanilla, half chocolate) with broken up pieces of cone to dip in the gellato like salsa. That was my idea..I know its a good one, I am very exited about it. There will be a Ginormous 35 foot blow up water slide that is always fun, food (haven't decided what to cook yet but it will be good, probably fajitas), beer aplenty for those who drink and sodas for those who don't. Last but not lease there will be plenty of people and everyone having a good time. Ill post more when we actually set a date.

I am still losing. I am proud to say that I have stuck to my goals of working out 4 times a week for an entire month now and I can def feel the results. I feel good and at the end of this month I am going to change up my workout a little bit. I am going to try out rock climbing. If you are interested and want to check it out with me give me a shout. I am going to wait till we move in and get settled before I go and give it a shot but it sounds like fun.

I have to say I am a little irritated by MTV these days. I tried to watch a little of it before going to bed last night and of course there were no music videos on so I switched over to MTV2 which actually plays a video or two. I tried for all of two songs to fall asleep to the music but it was impossible because the screen was going off like a light switch rave. I don't understand it. The screen never focused on one person for more then half a second then it would flash to someone else dancing. OVER AND OVER AND OVER. I had to turn it off.

Jacks Life

I finished a short book that John gave me for Christmas last night. Jacks Life, its a biography of C.S. Lewis written by his step son, Douglas H. Gresham. It is a very shot book, 160 pages and can easily be read in a couple of sittings. If you are a CS Lewis fan then this easy read is a must.
