Its Halloween time and you know what that means!

Girls, think of something pure and good and totally slut it up. That’s right it’s that time of the year again! All of the myspace pics get to be updated from last year’s pic to this year! It really shows character that you decided to be an angel who is half naked or a nurse in stockings. What you really look like is someone straight out of a porn movie..You might was well have someone walk behind you with a boom box playing 80s porn music.

I just want to say that the front yard of my house no longer looks like field of waving wheat. I didn’t know this but apparently when you rent a house you are supposed to treat it like crap. You can tell that the former renters of this house used this as their motto because my front yard is nothing but weeds. HUGE! Crabgrass covers my yard. It’s really embarrassing. My dad has always been big on keeping our yard nice and planting flowers, keeping the grass nice, the bushes from going out of control and the ants dead. All of those things were wrong with my yard and with the help of Jenkins and Gibbs we made huge improvements this weekend. Jenkins did the mowing and the edging and me Kevin and Jenkins got on our hands and knees and pulled a good section of our yard. It was hard work and my legs are beat. Between that and 3 soccer games this weekend I am feeling it today.

I went on a tear this weekend. I scored 5 goals in 3 games. I was just feeling good this weekend and got lucky on a few of them.

Halloween Fry Night (no costumes were worn at this party) was a huge success. I fried up some Oreos (which actually turned out ok) but I found a better batter for them now so next time they will be even better. I think my next fry challenge is to get funnel cakes down. Pugh did a surprise visit this weekend and it was good to see him. I went and bought a strawberry sweet cream gelato cake for the party. It was excellent! I ate and ate until I was so full I fell asleep. It was pretty funny everyone was tired and gone by midnight. Man I throw wild parties!

I just want to leave a message!

What is the deal with phone answering machines with incredible long wait times before you can leave a message? Yes, ok you didnt pick up the phone, now let me leave my message. I dont want to have to wait through a press 1 or 5. I would think that this is a nifty little things the phone companies do to make you spend more time on the phone but everywhere you look phone plans are unlimited mins so that theory doesnt hold up well. Latley i have also run into a few that dont have a beep so you dont know when to begin speaking and then right when you start you get a voice asking if you are happy with your message and if not press 1 to start over....of course you mash 1 over and over again but it doesnt do anything you just get the same message again and again.

Standing Jess up...The other side of the story

I was supposed to go over to Jessicas yesterday for a Lost party. She was going to set me up with a friend of hers. At first it sounded like a good idea, but of course the more I thought about it the more I didn't want to go. I don't know what it is but I always end up doing that. Not just about girls but about anything. If I think about it long enough I can convince myself I don't want to buy the cool foosball table, if I walk around the store long enough holding a DVD I "HAD" to have I cant justify to myself why I need to spend the money on it or a trip I had planed sounds like fun in the beginning but after a week of thinking about it all I can do is dread the drive and then I think about all of the other things I could spend the money on. Every time I stop and think I change my mind.

Most of the time its for the better but with those occasions it usually has to do with me spending money. I wasn't going to spend a dime at Jess's and I still didn't go. I put myself in a crappy situation. I told two different people I would hang out with them. I could have easily told B what was going on and he would have just let me go and Jess would never understand or she just wouldn't care. One was a guaranteed fun night of laughing and gaming with B and the other would have been awkward and at best ..I cant even think of what it would have gone like if it went well. I just kept imagining awkward tension the whole night.

Yay!: To my Ipod and listening to Death Cab all day.
Booo!: to not being able to come up with a catch title.

Who wants to just read a blog

My blogs are very boring without pictures. I need a digital camera. Once I pay off my Laptop that will be my next "Big Buy". When you see a cool picture it just makes the blog so much more appealing. Never mind that I just ramble look at that picture! Thats what you will be thinking as you read my blogs once I get my camera. It will be good times.

I have turned into a jeans commercial or the down syndrome version of an ipod commercial. I carry my Ipod with me everywhere and dance when I can. No one sees me so its ok. I have it plugged into my speakers at work and things just fly by when I get to listen to frank all day. The day I got it I downloaded all of jenkins CD (thanks Jenkins!) on to my computer which went suppressions fast. I thought it would take days to go through his collection but in 2 hours I had over 500 songs on my Ipod. I just need two things now to be completely geeked out in Ipod wear. The arm band carrier so I can listen while running (the reason I wanted one in the first place) also the tuner for my car so I can listen to my songs in the car through the speakers, instead of the ghetto way of earphones which I am not sure is leagle.

This Sunday we are having a party/get together at my place at 8pm. If you read this and want to come give me a call. There will be pool, gellato or a gellato cake, whichever one I am in the mood for when I go pick it up. A strawberry cake sounds good right about now. Anyways there good times will be had by all.

I work day is getting tiring because some how all of my calls are going straight to voicemail and not ringing. I have to call back way to many people throughout the day and it is very annoying. Of course no one who works here can fix it.

24 is going to be a good one.

So tomorrow is my birthday so I expect a lot of happy birthday comments! :) This weekend my family got together and had my birthday dinner. For the past 3 years we have gone to Tokyo Steak House. Its one of those places where a cook comes and cooks your meals on a Hibachi grill and makes everyone laugh while he cooks. The food is expensive but worth it. I had steak and chicken with some veggies, it was awesome. After dinner my parents gave me my gift and it was exactly what I wanted and more. A 4 gig Ipod nano.

Last week I also bought myself a sweet laptop. The laptop I got is loaded. I can do anything on this thing. Last night I had 5 pretty hefty programs running and it didn't skip a beat. I am still exited about it everytime I get on it. Now I have a ipod! This is going to be a good year I can feel it.

Dallas

Its been a few days since my last post. I left last Friday and went and saw Jaime Cullum live. It was by far the best concert I have ever been to. Before I went to the show I would have told you that I am a fan of Jamie Cullum but there are people I would rather see live then him. I mean Ben Folds is my hero and I couldn't see how Jamie could stand to give a concert that was entertaining. He did it though and more.

He played for two and a half hours. TWO AND A HALF HOURS! He sang a bunch of songs I hand never heard before and a few other it seemed he just made up as he went. I know he didn't but that's what it sounded like. My favorite of these was his version of Since You've been Gone. He also did a very cool arrangement of a song from Moulin Rouge, where he and his bass player walked though and over the crowd, him without his mic and sang while everyone was quiet. That had to have been my favorite part of the show. We had the best seats, 9 rows up from the front, on the side where you can seen his hands and watch him play. He is alot smaller then I thought he would be.

On Saturday me and my family went to the state fair. This is a yearly trip and I always enjoy it. This year had to have been the best year because my nephew Zimmer was there, possibly the cutest kid ever. We went and looked at all of the animals and Zimmer fed an alpaca that was in a desperate need of a haircut. The petting area was fun but the real entertainment was all of the fried food. I had a corny dog but not just any corny dog because regular corny dogs are gross. So for people like me they made Jalepenio Cheese Corny Dogs. It was cheese and a little spicy...perfect. After that I just got rolling. I had a fried praline, oreo, onion rings, and cheesecake. To finish it off I got a giant cotton candy on a cone.

Every year I end up buying something at the fair. There are too many cool infomercial people there to just walk around and not buy anything. The two things I was really debating about getting. The first was a sushi maker. Now, I don't really care to make my own sushi with fish and all of that good stuff, I would rather leave that to the pros. But with this little device you can stuff anything in rice. Beans and cheese in rice, Guacamole and cheese, pico and cheese. Pretty much anything you eat in a burrito can be placed in the rice for easy eating. The other thing I wanted was the SUPER set of knives, and that is what I ended up buying. A sweet set of knives and a block. I needed to buy some anyways and I will end up using them more. Not nearly as fun as a sushi maker but now I can cut though an iron bar and have no damage done to my knife!

I was disappointed with the new cars this year. The concept cars all look like everyday cars you see on the road now. Before they were always sleeker and had some crazy idea of how to open a door or how 15 people could easily fit in the car and there was a washer and dryer in the back but this year I think I saw a total of two concept cars and both of them were boring. When are we going to see a break through to the next Idea. Apparently their idea of a cool new future car is sticking a bigger engine in it. I want to fly! or hover or use a drop of water to go 10000 miles.

Next couple of weeks

This weekend I am heading to dallas for a Screen Printing show but this time i get to be on the other side of things. Normally i go and set up a booth and talk to all of the people who walk by. This time i get to walk around and check out new printing equipment and all the new garment manufatures. See what the new styles are and check out all the cool new gadgets that help make my job easier.

After the show Ranell (my sister-in-law), my mom and I are going to see Jamie Cullum in Grand Prarie. I missed the last time he came to Texas, I had tickets but for some reason i couldnt make it up there. This time i am def going and i am pretty exited.

On sat the whole family is going to the fair. I am going to load up on Saltwater taffy, no one talks about the taffy when they mention the fair but its one of my favorite things there. I am not a big corn dog fan. Its one of the few things that i really dont care for. Hopefully there is a cool gadget or two there as well. One year I bought my Ginsue Knife and the other i bought a sweet food procesor that i broke a while back and could use another.

The next weekend I think i am going to take a trip. I havent dicided where i want to go yet but i have a few things in mind. Drive to Dallas to go to Midevil Times or go to the coast. Right now i am leaning towards going to the coast and fishing.

Weekend update

First things first. I know this will not come as a surprise to everyone but "Employee of the Month" sucked. Its not even what I would call a renter. They tried way to hard on the plot..Why? Why would you do this? Its a comedy with Dane Cook, just let him run around saying funny stuff there is no need for actual events taking place..I don't want story progression, I want to laugh. Jessica Simpson does her normal roll of stand there and look pretty which she does a great job at but I would have placed someone who could give a little to the movie other than sex appeal. There were 0 encounters where the store people dealt with the crazy customers that come in. I was hoping for more of a Waiting type of movie where everything revolves around a day in a supermarket and all the crazy people that come in and ask for stupid things or buy the most ridiculous things. I have friends who worked for HEB and they always had funny stories where were they?

Me and Jenkins still enjoyed ourselves and laughed where no one else did. Which in itself ends up being funny because we laugh loud. I love it when something happens early in the movie and we laugh and the entire place turns to look at us...its good times.

Sat AC Bandersnatch played a team that didn't show up because everyone was watching the UT vs OU game. So we won by forfeit which sucks but we still got a scrimmage in anyways so it wasn't a total waist. After the game we headed home and I vacuumed and got our place ready for everyone who was coming over. The party was awesome. It went way better then I imagined it would. I normally go out and buy things for the party but since it was a house warming party and I was extra lazy I didn't get anything. Ken came through big though and got a keg full of shiner, which we tried our hardest to float but to no avail, and everyone else brought over a ample amount of chips and tons of pretzels which we have almost all left still for my eating pleasure during the week. There are problably 5 full bag of chips left and a bunch of mini cupcakes that are outstanding as well. We played some bones and pool, no foosball because until I get my washer and dryer fixed I probably should be spending extra money on toys...yet. Everyone had a good time it was fun and no one got trashed and that always makes things more enjoyable for me because then I don't have to worry about people puking in my house.

Sunday I slept in till 11, I cant seem to sleep in any later than that anymore. I tried hard too, I rolled back over and tried to just fall asleep again but no matter how much I didn't want to get out of bed my brain had already decided to wake up. Me and Kevin sat around watching football and other trash tv till our 8v8 game at 3. We tied a game we should have won and after the game me jenkins and Gibbs ripped on each other till we were all pissed off. We do this often, but luckily for us we get over it pretty quick.

After the game I didn't get to fry like I had planned to all week because my car got locked into the garage. I have never parked my car in a garage because, never. But this is the first time that I had lived in a house where there was a garage that wasn't full of crap. So in order to make room for more people to park in the driveway I pulled into the garage, and Jenkins parked behind me. He left and didn't move his car so I was trapped and couldn't get to the store. It was sad but not too bad because I would have been rushed anyways. Now I can take my time during the week and fry up on a week night. Its going to happen I am too pumped to let it just fade away. Fried avocados sound soo good.

End of the week ramblings

I went shopping today for Foosball tables. The best one I found was at Sams. Its actually pretty nice. Its a sportscraft and they are a top maker of good ones. I plan on picking it up tonight so we will have it set up in time for the party tomorrow night. Aside from the foosball table the only thing I have no my list to buy now is the Nintendo Wii and that doesn't come out till Nov. 19th. Although we do need a sound system for the house. Our TV is def big enough but the speakers on it are horrible and most of the time we seem to have to TV turned up all the way. I have never had a tv where you even came close to turning it to its full capacity, it cant be good for the TV.

Maybe ill add that to my list of things I want for Christmas so I don't end up with last years gift. The top hat. I did a lot of caroling last Christmas because I had always wanted to do the whole outfit thing and go outside and sing to strangers. Well I did that a lot and besides snow and the cold weather it was a lot of fun. The only thing I needed was a tophat because the one I was using was a fake plastic one you buy at the party pig. It was pretty lame. So I mentioned to my mom that I needed one and when do I get it? Christmas morning, of course all the Christmas caroling is over and I cant use a 100$ hat till the following Christmas besides all the times I wore it around the house just to feel like I was getting some use out of it. Of course while we were moving from my apt I ruined the hat. GREAT! But that is what I do, I destroy all the nice things I own. It was very sad.

So, in order to not repeat last years gift I am going to ask for things that will help out the house. Hopefully Kevin will as for a microwave because I don't know how much longer he will survive trying to use the stove and oven. I wont buy one just for fact that it cracks me up watching him heat his leftovers in the oven. Plus its a good experience for him.

I haven't really cooked since I moved into the house. Not nearly as much as I want to. Me and Jenkins are going to have a frying night this Sunday. I plan to head to the store and grab a bunch of oil and tasty things to dip into it. I have a few things I am going to try out. Fried avocados, ore's, stuffed jalepenios, potatoes, and whatever else I see that looks good.

Yesterday I had the greatest lunch ever known to man. It was a simple meal consisting of a tortilla and everything in the chipotle restaurant. I got the burrito to go and when I got back to the shop I weighed it because it glorious and I wanted to know how much food I was about to consume. It weighed 2 lbs. Normally you can not get a Chipotle burrito that big but I found the key to achieving this. If they ask you a question just reply with either "both" or "all of them". It will usually cost one or two dollars more but the extra money is worth it because you get twice as much food. I ate it in 10 mins and was still hungry but that's only because my stomach is slow to talk to my brain...15 mins later I was full. Yesterday was a great day.

I recently dusted off my guitar and decided to play again. Now that Kevin is in the house and can help me I don't feel that I am wasting my time. I have a big problem with rhythm. I don't have any. Unless I am following someone I suck and even then its not pretty. Its a slow process but I am improving.

Its not really about the food

Yesterday McDonald's started up their Monopoly game again. I think its the greatest promotion any company has ever done. I am love monopoly. I am not the biggest fan of McDonald's but now I will probably eat there 3 times a week so I can get 5,000,000 dollars. I think its a fair trade off. Its not really about the food although their frys are the greatest ever. Some people would be grossed out by this but not me. I never saw the movie supersize me because I just dont think the movie holds alot of weight and who wants to pay money to watch a guy eat himself sick? I mean, I live off of crap food. Morning day and night and I am not anywhere near being sick or close to dieing. I would make a movie that showed how I ate the same food and lost 30 pounds but I dought anyone would care to watch it.

So, if you find yourself eating at McDonalds in the near future and you find a boardwalk or venture ave or Reading Railraod I could use them.

Hi my name in James and I am a TV addict.

I used to take pride in the fact that I was not addicted to TV like the rest of the world but now I am just like everyone else. I have a show for every day of the week and of course I don't watch it when it comes on ...I have to record it so I don't have to sit through the commercials.

Monday nights its Studio 60, which is made from the guys who made Sports Night, my favorite show. Tuesday nights is of course House. Yes I know House is a predictable show but what happens has little relevance to why I like it. Its all about the dialog and all the witty things house says to people. Wed night is, and I am not afraid to admit that I like this show, Project Runway. Last week Kevin and Jenkins gave me such hard times about watching this show and when it came on they sat down and watched it with me and Jenkins I know liked it. Thursday nights is The ultimate Fighter. Friday nights I try to be out of the house watching movies or doing something social but if that fails there is always stand up.

what other good shows are on that I should check out?
